ק Qoph . Qoph (or kuf) is the 19th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It has a numerical value of 10013 and a sound of “K”. It also means an ape or a monkey. This Portion of the Psalms is about the psalmist’s pleas to God for help. Psalmist reminds God that he has been loyal to the divinely given word and asks God to save him. He pleads for God’s help on the basis of God’s love, truth, and justice. This portion is given up to memories of prayer, and the psalmist describes the time and manner of his devotions. Can you relate? Time in painting, drawing, writing. Time can be used for all God’s creation and what He created it to be. So many prayers that was prayed and some wonder on useless words, or where they? God came through every time. Lot of times better than what was prayed for or needed. Time to think I have been through it all and something new comes up. No this is worse. Pray! God comes through again. Holy Spirit never stops interceding for us. Amen.
Psalm 119:145-152 NIV.ק Qoph
I call with all my heart; answer me, Lord, and I will obey your decrees. I call out to you; save me and I will keep your statutes. I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Hear my voice in accordance with your love; preserve my life, Lord, according to your laws. Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law. Yet you are near, Lord, and all your commands are true. Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever.
