This part of Isaiah 66 reads of the new heavens and the new earth that God will create. It says that just as the new heavens and the new earth will endure before God, so will the offspring and name of His people endure. The passage also speaks of how all flesh will come to worship before God from one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another. It is a vivid warning to readers that they must choose whether they will worship Yahweh (The Lord) and be aware of His judgment on the wicked. It is a final evangelistic appeal. In God’s eye there will be a new heaven and new earth because God will remake the present universe and form a new one without any remembrance of sin. This will be the future home of the redeemed, where they will enjoy everlasting life, love, joy, and learning in God’s presence. The new heaven and new earth will also accommodate aspects of our physical earthly experience, though in a glorified manner.
It reads in Isaiah 66:22-24 Easy to read version>
The Lord says, “I will make a new world—new heavens and a new earth—that will last forever. In the same way, your names and your children will always be with me. Everyone will come to worship me on every worship day; they will come every Sabbath and every first day of the month. This is what I, the Lord, have said.“Whoever goes out of the city will see the dead bodies of those who sinned against me. The worms eating those bodies will never die, and the fires burning them will never go out. It will be horrible to anyone who sees it.”
