Jesus finished work on Calvary till the end suffering in a cold hearted world of ignorance. But Jesus bones was not broke like the other two on their cross. It reads in Psalm 34:20 ERV: He will protect them completely. Not one of their bones will be broken. It reads in Exodus 12:46 ERV: “Each family must eat the meal in one house. None of the food is to be taken outside the house. Don’t break any of the lamb’s bones. It reads in Numbers 9:12 ERV: They must not leave any of that food until the next morning. And they must not break any of the bones of the lamb. They must follow all the rules about Passover. It reads in Zechariah 12:10 ERV: I will fill David’s family and the people living in Jerusalem with a spirit of kindness and mercy. They will look to me, the one they stabbed, and they will be very sad. They will be as sad as someone crying over the death of their only son, as sad as someone crying over the death of their firstborn son. (Jesus came so we may have life and He died for us so we can have life everlasting. The God of the universe paid it all for us.)
It reads in John 19:31-37 ERV: It was the day when the Jews prepare everything for their day of rest. The next day was the day for the Passover meal, so it was a very important day. The Jews did not want the men’s bodies to stay on the crosses during that day of rest. So they asked Pilate to tell the soldiers to break the legs of those men. Then they could take the dead bodies down from the crosses. So the soldiers went there. They broke the legs of the two men who were on the crosses next to Jesus. Then they went to Jesus. They saw that he was dead already. So they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers put a spear into Jesus’ side. Immediately, blood and water came out of his body. The man who saw these things has spoken about them. What he says is true. He knows that it really happened. He is telling you the truth so that you can believe. The Bible already said how it would happen. It says: ‘Nobody will break any of his bones.’ In another place, the Bible says: ‘People will push a spear into that man’s body, and then they will look at him.’ And that is how it really happened.
