Being God’s children means that we have been saved through faith in Christ. We are born of God and are a mark of His great love. We owe nothing to our old lives in the flesh, since we are led by God’s Spirit. Jesus explained this as being “born again”. Whether your mother is deceased or not, thank her because her prayers are powerful and will follow you as you follow Christ. Jesus’ mother stood by Him even unto death and she inherited a new son.

It reads in 1 John 3:1-10 Easy: The Father has loved us so much! This shows how much he loved us: We are called children of God. And we really are his children. But the people in the world don’t understand that we are God’s children, because they have not known him. Dear friends, now we are children of God. We have not yet been shown what we will be in the future. But we know that when Christ comes again, we will be like him. We will see him just as he is. He is pure, and everyone who has this hope in him keeps themselves pure like Christ. Anyone who sins breaks God’s law. Yes, sinning is the same as living against God’s law. You know that Christ came to take away people’s sins. There is no sin in Christ. So whoever lives in Christ does not continue to sin. If they continue to sin, they have never really understood Christ and have never known him. Dear children, don’t let anyone lead you into the wrong way. Christ always did what was right. So to be good like Christ, you must do what is right. The devil has been sinning since the beginning. Anyone who continues to sin belongs to the devil. The Son of God came for this: to destroy the devil’s work. Those who are God’s children do not continue to sin, because the new life God gave them stays in them. They cannot keep sinning, because they have become children of God. So we can see who God’s children are and who the devil’s children are. These are the ones who are not God’s children: those who don’t do what is right and those who do not love their brothers and sisters in God’s family.

Father God, thank You and praise You for Your extraordinary grace and immeasurable love that I should be called a child of God. Thank You that Jesus came to earth and put a title to my filthiness and sin so that I might believe to be clothed in His purity and righteousness, positioned in Christ, in-dwelled by the Holy Spirit, and accepted in the Beloved. Thank You for the Holy Spirit Jesus sent as my helper so that, I have the amazing blessing to look forward to in heaven that I will see my precious Savior as He is. My glorified body will be like Him and be fully able to worship Jesus in spirit and truth through to eternity. Thank You and praise You in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
