Jesus told the church at Pergamum, “I know where you live.” He assured these believers that He knew they dwelt in a city under Satan’s control. He understood the persecutions and temptations they experienced from the rampant Satan-inspired religions. He praised them for holding fast to Him in the face of danger and persecutions. Amen Used here, as a name for Jesus, it means to agree strongly that something is true. Amen is a name that originates from the English word “amen,” often said at the end of prayers or hymns, meaning “so be it” This means that Jesus Christ is the “yes” and “amen” of all God’s promises, and in Jesus is the guarantee and confirmation of God’s promises. If you don’t change, I will come to you quickly and fight against these people with the sword that comes out of my mouth. “Everyone who hears this should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches! “I will give the hidden manna to everyone who wins the victory. I will also give each one a white stone that has a new name written on it. And no one will know this name except the one who gets the stone.
Father God, I thank You and praise You for the Holy Spirit. Let me be still as I listen to His guidance. Keep me humble as I follow You and be faithful to the point of death and receive that promised, crown of life. I thank You and praise You for faithful influences like teachers and Christian Music believers who care about what Your children including them listen too.
