John views Christians who have died for their faithfulness to Jesus, the company of martyrs who have paid the ultimate price for their gospel testimony. Their earthly lives having ended, they live on in heaven waiting for the resurrection of their bodies. The cry of the martyrs (a person who is killed because of their religious or other beliefs) in Heaven refers to a passage in the Book of Revelation, specifically. This passage describes the souls of those who were martyred for their faith, crying out to God for justice and asking, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”. A martyr is someone who suffers persecution and death for advocating, renouncing, or refusing to renounce or advocate, a religious belief or other cause as demanded by an external party. Highlightfor the suffering and sacrifice of those who have died for their faith and their longing for divine justice. It’s a powerful reminder of the ultimate hope and justice that believers look forward to.
Revelation 6:9-11 Easy: The Lamb opened the fifth seal. Then I saw some souls under the altar. They were the souls of those who had been killed because they were faithful to God’s message and to the truth they had received. These souls shouted in a loud voice, “Holy and true Lord, how long until you judge the people of the earth and punish them for killing us?” Then each one of them was given a white robe. They were told to wait a short time longer. There were still some of their brothers and sisters in the service of Christ who must be killed as they were. These souls were told to wait until all the killing was finished.
Father God, My heart crys and breaks for all the Martyrs. All who are ridiculed and harrassed and killed for their beliefs. Holy Spirit let no weapon be formed about your Children. Those who believe that are in fear of loving Jesus protect them and guide others in their life to encourage them. Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Let everyone know that they are safe in Your hands all the way through to eternity. Thank You Lord that You will make right on the wrongful deaths and bring true judgement. I love You, thank You Praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
