This part describes the death of the two witnesses by the beast from the abyss, their bodies lying in the streets, and the celebration of the inhabitants of the earth over their deaths. While these verses depict a grim scenario, there are several benefits and lessons that can be drawn from them:
Fulfillment of Divine Purpose: These two witnesses complete their testimony before their death, emphasizing that God’s purposes will be fulfilled despite opposition.
Witness to God’s Power: Resurrection of the witnesses after three and a half days demonstrates God’s power over life and death, reinforcing the hope of resurrection for believers.
Judgment and Justice: The celebration of the earth’s inhabitants over the death of the witnesses highlights the moral corruption and eventual judgment of those who oppose God’s messengers.
Encouragement for Believers: The verses remind believers that their suffering and testimony are not in vain, and that ultimate victory belongs to God.
It reads in Revelation 11:7 -10 Easy:
When these two servants of God have finished speaking God’s messages, a wild animal will attack them. This is the animal that lives in the deep hole. It will come up out of the hole. It will be stronger than the two servants and it will kill them. 8 Their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city where people killed their Lord on a cross. This city should be called Sodom or Egypt, because it is as bad as those places. People from everywhere in the world will look at the servants’ dead bodies for three and a half days. Those are people from every nation, from every tribe and from every language. They will not agree to bury the bodies. The people who live on the earth will be very happy because the two servants of God are now dead. They will send gifts to each other because they are so happy. These two prophets of God had caused bad trouble for them, but now they have died.
Father God, I thank You that Your same Holy Spirit currently indwells in all believers, and that “Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.” I love You, thank You, praise You and give you all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
