The verse reminds us to prioritize building treasures in heaven through genuine relationships, acts of kindness, and a steadfast faith rather than on material possessions that will ultimately fade away. This serves as a powerful call to shift our focus from the transient to the eternal, investing our hearts in what truly matters in the eyes of God.
It reads in Revelation 18:9-10 Easy: When all that happens, the kings on the earth will be very sad. They enjoyed the bad things that people did in that city. They had many expensive things so that they were happy. Now they will see the smoke from the fire that burns the city. As a result, they will cry and they will weep. They will stand a long way from the city because they are afraid. They do not want to suffer in the same way. They will say, ‘Terrible trouble has come to you, Babylon! Great city! Powerful city! It is very bad for you! In one single hour God has destroyed you!’
Father God, I praise You and thank You for Your Word and the truths in Your word that warns us of what will happen if we don’t turn from sin and walk right. Let me remember all that I have learned in the book of Revelation, so I can walk right and be guided by the Holy Spirit into all truth. Thank You that You given the Holy Spirit to every believer to be our friend, interpreter of prayer and have constant communication. You Lord are King of Kings and Lord of all! I love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
