The prophet Ezekiel spoke about Gog, the leader, and Magog, his people, as great enemies of God’s people Israel. He spoke about them many years before Jesus was born. In Ezekiel 38 &39. Ezekiel said that God would destroy these enemies with fire from heaven. God himself would destroy them because they were such great enemies of his people. So, John uses the same names when he describes the last war between God’s people and Satan’s people. This mysterious prophecy is situated within the Hebrew Bible and portrays a tragic confrontation involving Israel and a coalition of nations. It is highly symbolic and provides insight into God’s plan for the end times and the restoration of Israel. Revelation 20 is a profound chapter that captures the ultimate triumph of good over evil. It details Satan’s temporary release and final defeat, the reign of Christ with His saints, and the Last Judgment. The Millennium, a thousand-year reign of peace and righteousness, is a key theme, offering believers hope and the promise of eternal justice. This chapter reassures that despite the chaos and struggles in life, God’s ultimate plan ensures victory and peace for His faithful.
