Radiant Light: The city does not need the sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates it, and the Lamb is its lamp. This perpetual light signifies God’s eternal presence and glory.

Precious Materials: The foundations of the city walls are adorned with every kind of precious stone, and the streets are made of pure gold, as clear as glass. This symbolizes the immense value and purity of God’s kingdom.

Gates of Pearl: The twelve gates are twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl, representing the beauty and rarity of the city’s entrance.

No Temple: There is no temple in the city because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. This highlights the direct and unmediated presence of God with His people.

Safety and Openness: The gates are never shut, symbolizing eternal safety and the openness of God’s kingdom to all who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
