It reads in Genesis 23:18-20 Easy: All the Hittite people who were sitting there at the city gate agreed that Abraham was the new owner. After this, Abraham buried his wife, Sarah, in the cave in the field of Machpelah. This field was near Mamre, in the land of Canaan. That place is also called Hebron. That is how Abraham bought the field and the cave that was in it from the Hittite people. He bought it so that he could bury there his family who died.
Father God, Praise You and thank You for the resolution of Abraham’s journey to secure a resting place for Sarah. The field and the cave of Machpelah were deeded to him. We see the importance of honoring our loved ones with dignity and respect. Asking for Your guidance in our own efforts to supply for and remember those we loved and cherish. The gifts you gave us to take care of but are back with You in no pain.
Guide us the courage and strength in our faith, as Abraham did, to navigate the complexities of life. Guide us to act with integrity, to be clear in our intentions, and to uphold our commitments. Bless us with the wisdom and grace needed to make decisions that show You, Your love and righteousness. Those moments of challenge and decision making, we always turn to You for support and understanding. Thank You for the blessings You give, and we continually strive to honor You in all that we do. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
