In the land of famine, where fear took its stand, Isaac journeyed forth, through the arid sand. To Gerar he went, by God’s command, In the land of the Philistines, guided by His hand.

“Stay in this land,” the Lord did declare, “I’ll bless you here, with My tender care.” Isaac obeyed, with faith in his heart, In the midst of scarcity, God’s blessings did start.

Isaac sowed seeds, the land did yield, A hundredfold harvest, his bounty revealed. Great wealth and flocks, his blessings did grow, In Gerar’s fields, God’s favor did show.

Jealousy arose, the Philistines’ spite, they filled his wells, to curb his. Abimelech said, “Go from us, now, For your mightier than we, in this land we plow.”

Isaac departed, to the valley below, uncovering his father’s wells, the water did flow. Esek and Sitnah, the disputes rang loud, But Rehoboth brought peace, no strife to cloud.

“For now the Lord has made room for us,” In Rehoboth’s peace, Isaac found trust. From famine to fullness, God’s promise unfurled, In the wells of promise, His love was revealed.
