Matthew 26:26-29 – Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-26 says, “and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Ingredients to Make Communion Bread:
1 cup of flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup water
Instructions:
First, mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir together until combined well. Carefully slide the parchment paper onto a baking sheet and transfer to a 400 degree preheated oven.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Make Your Own Juice (if you prefer homemade)
- Ingredients: Fresh Concord grapes (or any dark grape variety).
- Steps:
- Wash grapes thoroughly.
- Mash them gently in a bowl or pot.
- Simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes until juice releases.
- Strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
- Cool and pour into serving cups.
This homemade method adds a personal, prayerful touch, especially if you bless the grapes as you prepare them.
“Lord, bless this cup. May it be a symbol of Your covenant, Your forgiveness, and Your love poured out for all. May those who drink be reminded of Your sacrifice and Your promise. Amen.”

This moment is personal, between you and Jesus. As you receive the bread and the cup, remember: Jesus gave His body and shed His blood for you. And He left the Holy Spirit with you, to guide you, comfort you, and help you embrace all that God has done for us.
You are not alone. You are loved. You are part of His covenant.
Go in peace, carrying His light into the world.
