You made a man like God to kings,
A prophet’s voice to echo truth.
Though hearts were hard and pride held fast,
You sent Your word, uncaged and loose.
You warned of signs, of wonders bold,
Of miracles that would unfold.
Yet Pharaoh’s ears would not be stirred,
Still, You remained the final word.
Two elders stood, aged yet strong,
Obeying You, they journeyed on.
Eighty and eighty-three they came,
To speak Your justice, bear Your name.
Not by their might, nor by their fame,
But by Your hand, Your holy flame.
You led them forth, a chosen pair,
To show the world that You are there.
