God instructs Moses and Aaron regarding Pharaoh’s request for a sign. Aaron places his staff before Pharaoh, and it transforms into a serpent. Although Pharaoh’s magicians can replicate the act, Aaron’s serpent consumes theirs. Nevertheless, Pharaoh remains unyielding, as foretold by God.

It reads in Exodus 7:8-13 Easy: Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Work a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, so that it may turn into a serpent.’”  So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and so they did, just as the Lord had commanded; and Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his servants, and it turned into a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers, and they too, the soothsayer priests of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts. For each one threw down his staff, and they turned into serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed their staffs. Yet Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.

Father God, You are mighty and wise, You speak, and wonders follow. When others doubt, You still move. Help me to trust You like Moses and Aaron did. Even when hearts are hard and answers seem slow. Let Your power speak through my obedience. Make me bold, make me faithful, and remind me: You are always in control. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
