From Midian’s hills the priest came near,
Jethro, father-in-law held dear.
He heard of wonders, mighty hand,
That freed God’s people from Egypt’s land.

With Zipporah, Moses’ bride,
And sons who walked at her side,
Gershom named for stranger’s plight,
Eliezer saved by God’s might.

At Sinai’s mount, the holy place,
Moses bowed with love and grace.
They spoke of trials, Pharaoh’s fall,
Of God who rescued through it all.

Jethro rejoiced, his voice was raised,
“Praise the Lord, His name be praised!
Greater than gods, His power shown,
Deliverer, He reigns alone.”

Sacrifice offered, altar flame,
Aaron and elders with him came.
Together they feasted, hearts aligned,
Before the Lord, in joy divine.
