Moses relays God’s words to the elders. The people unanimously agree: “We will do everything the Lord has said.”

(It reads in Exodus 19:7–8)

So Moses climbed down the mountain and called the elders of the people together. Moses told the elders everything the Lord had commanded him to tell them. All the people spoke at the same time and said, “We will obey everything the Lord says.” Then Moses went back up the mountain and told the Lord that the people would obey him.

Father God, You call us to be Your people, to listen and to obey Your word. Give us hearts that are willing, minds that are humble, & spirits that are faithful. May we, like Israel, say, “We will do all You have spoken,” & live each day in Your covenant love. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Percious Name Amen.
