Israel is commanded to remember God through celebration. Feast of Unleavened Bread, remembering the Exodus. Feast of Harvest, first fruits of the land. Feast of Ingathering, gratitude at the end of the year. Bring God your best, not leftovers. Worship is rhythmic, joyful, and rooted in remembering God’s goodness. Unleavened bread was simple, quick, and humble. Israel ate it because God delivered them so suddenly, they had no time to let the dough rise. Every year, God told them to remember that moment, the night He broke their chains and brought them out with power. We all have “Egypt moments” seasons God pulled us out of faster than we expected, in ways we couldn’t have planned. The Feast of Unleavened Bread reminds us to pause, strip away the extra, and remember: God is the One who rescues. God is the One who moves suddenly. God is the One who brings us out.

It reads in Exodus 23:14–19 Easy: Three times each year, you must eat a feast to give me honor. Eat the Feast of Flat Bread every year. For seven days, you must eat bread that you have made without any yeast. I have commanded you to do this. Do it at the right time during the month Abib. It was in that month that you came out of Egypt. Nobody must come to me without an offering.Eat the Feast of Harvest every year. Offer to me the first crops that you bring from your fields. At the end of each year, eat Feast of Final Harvest. Do that when you have finished bringing in all of your crops from the fields. Three times each year, all your men must come to worship the Almighty Lord. When you kill an animal to offer it to me as a sacrifice, do not offer it with bread that has yeast in it. Be sure to burn all the fat of the animal on the same day. Do not keep any of it until the next morning. When you cut the first crops from your fields, bring the best food to the house of the Lord your God. Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.

Father God, help me remember Your deliverance with a grateful heart. Strip away anything old that doesn’t belong in my new life. Teach me to honor the moments You brought me out and to walk forward with trust and simplicity. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
