God tells Moses to make ten beautiful curtains of fine linen with blue, purple, and red yarn. Skilled workers sew cherubim into them. All ten are the same size. They’re joined into two large panels. Gold hooks connect the two panels so the whole tabernacle is covered as one piece. God’s presence is covered in beauty, unity, and holiness.
It reads in Exodus 26:1–6 Easy “The Holy Tent should be made from ten curtains. These curtains must be made from fine linen and blue, purple, and red yarn. A skilled worker should sew pictures of Cherub angels with wings into the curtains. Make each curtain the same size. Each curtain should be 28 cubits long and 4 cubits wide. Join the curtains together into two groups. Join five curtains together to make one group and join five curtains together to make the other group. Use blue cloth to make loops along the edge of the end curtain in one group. Do the same on the end curtain in the other group. There must be 50 loops on the end curtain of the first group. And there must be 50 loops on the end curtain of the other group. These loops must be opposite each other. Then make 50 gold rings to join the curtains together. This will join the Holy Tent together into one piece.
Father God, Thank You and praise You that You cover Your dwelling with beauty, unity, and holiness. As You joined each curtain together into one perfect covering, join my heart to Your will today. Let Your presence rest over my home, my thoughts, and my steps. Clothe me in Your peace, surround me with Your order, and remind me that I am held under the shelter of Your Honor and glory. Love You in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
