Moses stood between promise and fear, the mountain still warm with God’s fire, the people restless below. He did not ask for the road ahead, he asked for God Himself.
“If You do not go with us, do not send us on.” Not toward victory, not toward land, not toward success, only toward presence.
The Lord answered softly, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Not explanation. Not distance. Rest.
Hidden in the cleft of the rock, covered by a holy hand, Moses glimpsed what could not be fully seen. Glory passed by, enough to know God was near, enough to keep walking.
This is what sets us apart: not where we go, but Who goes with us.
