My Nephew made this planetarium with a piece of (Sedum morganianum) These most unusual-looking plants have trailing stems which are densely packed with small, fat, succulent leaves. The individual leaves are a pale green, covered with a fine white bloom. Pink flowers may appear in spring, but these plants do not flower readily in the home. Ideal plants for hanging baskets, “Sedum morganianum” should be displayed in a place where they will not be brushed against, as the leaves drop off very easily.
Warm, sunny area preferably window. The stems of these succulents can grow to a maximum of three feet in length. Feeding is unnecessary. repot every spring using a combination of one third coarse sand and two-thirds soil-based potting mixture. They grow best in half pots or hanging baskets where they have room to spread. Once the plants have grown too big for the pot. You can separate and repot them in other containers. They are a beautiful green succulent. Water as needed. Water less in winter. To much water and they will rot. If outside plant, bring in the home during winter, or till after freezing season is over.
