Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11
What was Jesus willing to do, with respect to His equality with God and how did Jesus appear on earth?
Jesus Christ was willing to surrender His glory, not forcibly grasping and retaining it. He laid aside His divine majesty, He took on Himself the form and nature of a bondservant appearing as a man in the flesh.
How else did Jesus lay aside His majesty?
Jesus humbled Himself, obeying God to the extent of dying as a criminal on the cross.
