Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16 KJV
Father God let this touch someone’s heart today in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
To be strong in the Lord means allowing His Spirit to strengthen our spirit so that it can overwhelm the temptations of the flesh and the lies of the enemy and not the way around. We may be facing these battles every day but there is an important truth that we need to highlight amidst these combats. Every battle belongs to God.
So this means keep doing what is right as you walk each day. Do not let Satan deceive you. People aren’t going to like you just as the proferseys and even Jesus’s family didn’t believe him. It reads in John 7:5 KJV: For neither did Jesus brethren believe in him.
People are just not going to like to see you change your ways. The good news is Gods children will be there for you to encourage you and bless your achievements in walking with the Lord.
So what people didn’t believe in Jesus and some still don’t! That didn’t stop Jesus! Don’t let those who don’t believe stop you. Never quit being you walking and talking right. Even Jesus called hypocrites. Hypocrites! Just keep doing right and rebuke Satan. Just as The command “Get behind me, Satan,” spoken to Peter by Jesus, is recorded in Matthew 16:23 But Jesus turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.and Mark 8:33 KJV: But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Jesus had just revealed to His disciples for the first time the plan: He was to go to Jerusalem to suffer, die, and be raised to life. “Get behind me, Satan” seems harsh and out of character for Jesus, especially when addressing Peter, one of His most devout disciples. Why did Jesus say this? What was it Peter did to deserve such a rebuke? Without knowing it, Peter was speaking for Satan.
{And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?Matthew 17:18-20} Matthew 9:35; 10:1 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness… [10:1] Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
The joy of the Lord is the gladness that comes from submitting to God, following Christ, and connecting with the Holy Spirit. The joy of the Lord does not depend on circumstances in our lives. This joy burrows deep in our hearts and stays no matter how bad things get or how much sorrow surrounds us. “The joy of the Lord is your strength” ( Nehemiah 8:10 ). Whether the “joy of the Lord” here refers mainly to the joy he has in himself, or to the joy he gives us, we have no real hope of joy or strength unless God is happy ( John 15:11 ). God does not give us any joy outside of the joy he has in himself already.
“How to Experience God’s Joy Every Day”
Step #1: Spend Time With God. God is the source of all joy.
Step #2: Cultivate Thankfulness. We are incredibly, overwhelmingly, abundantly blessed.
Experiencing Joy Isn’t Complicated. When it comes to experiencing joy on a daily basis, we don’t need to overcomplicate things.
Joy of the Lord is a constant gladness and cause to rejoice. It’s an inner strengthening from our relationship with Him. When Jesus died for us, He restored us to a peace with God that cannot be undone. “Your joy rests on God’s joy,””enter the joy of your lord” can only mean that He wants us to participate in His joy, in His happiness. When those things that make God happy begin to make us happy also, then we know we are entering the joy of our Lord. What makes God happy is what He is doing, or else He would not be doing it!
God Rejoices in His Son, God Rejoices in His Creation, God Rejoices in you!
God delights in demonstrating His power in situations where human strength is lacking; Here is a example it reads in 1 Samuel 14:6–15:
And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few. And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart. Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them. If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them. But if they say thus, Come up unto us; then we will go up: for the Lord hath delivered them into our hand: and this shall be a sign unto us. And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves. And the men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will shew you a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after me: for the Lord hath delivered them into the hand of Israel. And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him: and they fell before Jonathan; and his armourbearer slew after him. And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow. And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers, they also trembled, and the earth quaked: so it was a very great trembling.
It reads in 1 Corinthians 1:27: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; “When we are weak in ourselves, we are strong in the Lord because God’s strength becomes evident: “For he was crucified in weakness, but he lives by the power of God.”
To be strong in the Lord means embracing His empowerment, celebrating a triumphant victory, accepting God’s presence in everything we do, and being with God in challenging times. Life can be challenging, but we don’t have to go through it alone.
Let’s Pray”
Father God, I thank You and praise You that there is nothing in the physical or spiritual realm that can triumph over me, that I am secure in Jesus Christ, and every accusation of the enemy will be condemned. Help me never to fear those that seek to harm me in word or in deed, but help me to be a faithful witness of Your steadfast grace in the place where You have put me. Let Jjoy reign in all I say and do in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
“Power Verse”
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord” Isaiah 54:17
