Twelve Tribes

Reuben, firstborn, strength and pride, yet unstable waters could not abide. Lost the heights for passion’s flame, still remembered by his father’s name.

Simeon and Levi, fierce and bold, their swords brought wrath uncontrolled. Yet in the scattering, grace would grow, A priestly line and justice to show.

Judah, lion with royal might, from you shall rise the morning light. Scepter held and praise proclaimed, Messiah’s hope through you is named.

Zebulun, by the sea shall dwell, Harbors wide where stories swell. Merchant winds and ships shall glide; Blessings found on every tide.

Issachar, strong with burdened back, A servant’s heart on labor’s track. Though bowed beneath the master’s yoke, in quiet strength, your spirit spoke.

Dan, the judge with serpent’s sting, Justice sharp and reckoning. Though paths may twist and shadows fall, you rise to answer duty’s call.

Gad attacked but strikes again, A troop shall rally from your men. Resilience carved in battle’s song, you stand though foes are fierce and strong.

Asher, rich with royal fare, your table spreads with finest care. From olive groves and golden grain, Your portion sings of heaven’s rain.

Naphtali, deer set free to run, graceful words like morning sun. Beauty dances in your voice, in freedom’s song, the tribes rejoice.

Joseph, fruitful by the spring, branches climb and blessings cling. Though arrows pierced, your arms held true, God’s favor crowned, and strength renewed.

Benjamin, wolf at break of day, devours the prey, divides the way. Fierce protector, bold and wise, your tribe shall rise where valor lies.

Twelve sons, one father’s final breath, Blessings spoken before death. Each tribe, a story told, In covenant love, their future unfolds.
