You turned us from the fastest road to the one that teaches trust, a winding trail where fear is softened by Your care. Between walls of water we walked on borrowed ground, each step a lesson: You go before us, you hold us safe. By day Your softness, a cool cloud around our heads; by night Your fire, a steady heart against the dark. Teach us to trust the long road, to learn in the waiting, to sing as we walk, knowing Your presence makes a way.
“Hymn-like tribute”
O Guide who leads through desert ways, not by ease but by Your grace, You shield the weak, the faint of heart, and show the way to every face. Between the waters, on dry ground, we march as one beneath Your sign; cloud by day and fire by night, your faithful light is ever mine. Lead us, O Lord, through every sea, till promised shore and sanctuary.
