The priests must keep the altar fire burning day and night. Every morning they add wood, arrange the offering, and maintain the flame. The continual fire symbolizes continual devotion. Faithfulness is often quiet, steady, and daily, not dramatic. The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out.” This passage reveals something tender and powerful about God’s heart: He values steady devotion more than dramatic moments. The priests were commanded to keep the fire burning day and night. It wasn’t a one‑time blaze but a continual flame, fed daily, tended faithfully, guarded carefully. In the same way, God invites us into a faith that is consistent rather than flashy, quiet rather than showy, daily rather than occasional. The fire represents: Worship that continues even when we feel nothing. Obedience that shows up in the ordinary. A heart that returns to God again and again. The priests added wood every morning. That’s our picture too: small, faithful offerings, prayer, Scripture, repentance, gratitude, placed on the altar of our lives. God keeps the fire burning, but we tend it.

The Lord said to Moses,  “Give this command to Aaron and his sons: This is the law of the burnt offering. The burnt offering must stay on the hearth of the altar all night until morning. The altar’s fire must be kept burning.  The priest must change clothes and put on the special linen underwear and linen robe. Then he must gather up the ashes from the fire and burnt offerings and set them down by the altar.  Then he must take off the special clothes and put on the other clothes and carry the ashes outside the camp to a special place that is pure.  The fire that was started on the altar must never be allowed to stop burning. Every morning the priests must put wood on the altar. They must arrange the burnt offerings on the wood, and they must burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. That fire must always be kept burning on the altar. It must never be allowed to stop burning. Leviticus 6:8-13 Easy:

Father God, keep the fire of devotion burning in me. Teach me the beauty of steady faith, the strength of daily obedience, and the peace of returning to You again and again. Add Your grace to my small offerings and let my life be a place where Your presence burns continually. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Jesus Precious Name Amen.
