God’s acceptance is both a blessing and a holy encounter. After the priests complete the offerings, Moses and Aaron bless the people and the Lord answers with visible fire that consumes the sacrifice. The people’s reaction, shouting and falling on their faces, shows that meeting God moves us from routine into awe. When God affirms our obedience, we receive blessing and are reminded that His presence calls for reverence, gratitude, and changed lives. Let this moment prompt you to welcome God’s approval with humble worship and to let His nearness reshape how you live and serve.
Leviticus 9:20–24 Easy: He put them on the meat of the animal’s ribs. Then he burnt the fat on the altar. Aaron lifted up the meat as an offering to the Lord. Moses had told him that he must do this. When Aaron had finished burning the gifts, he lifted up his hands over the people. He had sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the friendship offering. Then he asked God to do good things for the people. And Aaron came down from the altar. Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they asked God to do good things for the people. The bright light from the Lord appeared to the people to show how great he is. Then the Lord sent a fire to show that he accepted the gifts. It completely burnt all the fat and the offerings that were on the altar. The people were very happy when they saw this. They shouted and they fell down with their faces to the ground.
Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, thank You for meeting us when we come in obedience. Fill our hearts with awe and gratitude, teach us reverent worship, and let Your presence transform our daily lives. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your precious Name Amen.
