If a person has white marks on his skin, the priest must look at the marks. If the color of the marks is not bright, it is not a disease. The person is clean. The hair may fall from the head of a man until he is bald. That man remains clean. If the hair falls from the front of the man’s head, it is bald. The man is clean.  If the man has a red and white mark on his bald head, it is a disease.  The priest must look at the red and white mark on the bald head.  The priest must say that the man has a disease. It is a disease that he might give to other people,Leviticus 13:38–44 ERV:

Some white spots are harmless rashes or ordinary baldness and do not cut a person off from the community, while other red‑and‑white infections signal real contagion and require separation. The passage calls us to avoid quick judgment and to rely on careful assessment so mercy and safety can coexist.
