Leviticus 22:31-33 ERV: Remember my commands and obey them. I am the Lord.  Show respect for my holy name. I must be very special to the Israelites. I, the Lord, have made you my special people. I brought you out of Egypt in order to be your God. I am the Lord.”

God requires offerings that are holy and without defect, a reminder that what we bring to Him should reflect His purity. The law points us away from casual, half-hearted worship and toward intentional giving, our best time, our honest heart, and our sincere obedience. Ultimately these commands point forward to the perfect, unblemished sacrifice that makes us acceptable before God and calls us to live in gratitude and reverence. Commands obedience to God’s statutes and ordinances; warns that violating these rules brings punishment and defilement, while obedience preserves holiness. Keep God’s commandments regarding holy things to avoid defilement and penalty. Simple! “You shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord.”

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, help me to honor You with my best, pure motives, faithful obedience, and a grateful heart. Purify what is flawed in me and teach me to offer my life in ways that reflect Your holiness. Forgive me when I fall short. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
