I was walking to the store one night, I went on a side walk. The side walk was missing part of the side walk, I had stepped down with no feeling of a walk. I immediately stepped back from fear. It was getting dark and it was getting hard to see the path. I didn’t bring a flash light to guide me. Without that light I had nothing to light my path.I could have easily lost the path and taken a fall and even gotten lost in the dark. A person across the street saw me. Guy came running over and flashed their light on the sidewalk. It was gone as far as we could see. So I went across the street and walked with the guy and his flash light. The Word of God is like having lamps on our boots; they light the path at every step we take keeping us safe from harm. That’s what the psalmist referred to in writing “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).
