Leviticus 19:1-2 ERV: The Lord said to Moses, “Tell all the Israelites: I am the Lord your God. I am holy, so you must be holy.

God begins with identity: He is the LORD, the God who sets the standard. From that identity flows the call, because God is holy, His people are to reflect that holiness in everyday life. Holiness here isn’t distant perfection but a life shaped by God’s character: reverence for Him, care for others, honesty, and distinctiveness in how we live. When we remember who God is, obedience becomes a response of love rather than a checklist, small choices (how we speak, how we serve, how we rest) become ways we mirror God’s holiness to a watching world.

Father God, You are holy! Make me holy. Help me reflect Your character in my words and actions. Give me courage for faithful obedience in small things and let my life point others to You. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Lord Jesus Amen.
