“You must not curse anyone who is deaf. You must not do anything to make a blind person fall. But you must respect your God. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:14ERV

This verse teaches us not to curse the deaf or place a stumbling block before the blind; God calls us to protect the dignity of those who are vulnerable. When someone treats a person who is blind, mute, or crippled unfairly, it wounds both the individual and the whole community. God’s justice and mercy demand both accountability and restoration: those who have harmed are invited to repent and make amends, and the community is called to repair trust and defend the rights of the oppressed. Let our hearts be moved to compassion, to speak up for the weak, and to live in ways that reflect God’s care for every neighbor.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, convict and restore Heavenly Father, You see every act of injustice done to the vulnerable. Convict the hearts of those who have treated the blind, the mute, and the crippled unfairly; bring true sorrow that leads to repentance and to righting wrongs. Comfort and protect those who have been harmed, give them justice and healing, and raise up people who will defend and restore them. Fill our community with compassion, courage, and a commitment to honor every life. In Your mercy, bring repentance and reconciliation.
