God calls His people to protect one another’s reputation and well‑being. Slander, gossip, and careless words wound relationships and fracture community trust. Leviticus links speech to life: what we say can harm someone’s standing, safety, or peace. Loving your neighbor means guarding your tongue, speaking truth with kindness, and stepping in to defend those who are vulnerable. Choose words that build up, restore, and reflect God’s justice and mercy. Before you speak about someone, ask: Is this true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Refuse to pass along rumors; instead, pray for wisdom, seek reconciliation, and, when needed, speak truth gently to protect others. Pray for all involved that they see Jesus in others.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, tame my tongue and give me a heart that protects others. Help me refuse gossip, speak truth in love, and act to defend the vulnerable. Fill my words with grace and justice today. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Jesus Amen and Amen.
