“Don’t secretly hate any of your neighbors. But tell them openly what they have done wrong so that you will not be just as guilty of sin as they are. Leviticus 19:17 ERV

This verse commands us not to harbor hatred but to rebuke a neighbor when they sin, and warns against carrying the guilt of silence. True correction is rooted in love: it aims to restore the person and protect the community, not to punish or humiliate. If you must confront, do so with humility, clarity, and a goal of reconciliation; if private rebuke fails, seek wise witnesses or mediation rather than gossip or revenge. Public exposure, “put it on television,” can be tempting, but Scripture calls for justice tempered by mercy and wisdom; public correction should be a last resort and handled in ways that protect dignity and seek restoration.

Dear Blessed Lord Jesus, give me courage to speak truth in love, wisdom to know when to speak and when to seek help, and a heart that seeks restoration over revenge. Guard my words from pride and my actions from harm; use me to heal, not to wound. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Mighty Precious Name Jesus Amen.
