Leviticus 23:1-2 ERV: The Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites: You will announce the Lord’s chosen festivals as holy meetings. These are my special festivals.
These verses set the tone for Israel’s calendar: the LORD spoke to Moses about the appointed festivals, holy convocations that shape the community’s rhythm of worship and rest. God calls his people into a life ordered by sacred times, moments set apart to remember, to celebrate, and to reorient the heart toward him. These appointed gatherings remind us that worship is not only spontaneous feeling but also faithful practice: regular, communal, and rooted in God’s voice.

Consider treating one ordinary hour this week as “set apart”: turn off distractions, read Scripture, and listen for God’s voice.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You and praise You for setting apart times to meet with You. Help me to honor those rhythms and to make space for Your presence in my daily life. Teach me to rest, remember, and worship with others, and shape my days by Your holy purposes. Love You, thank You, praise You and give You all the honor and glory in Your Precious mighty Name Lord Jesus Amen.
